Biohazard - Uncivilization
Bioh- Heres a great follow up album. If you have followed BH thru the past few years, youve heard the hits and these guys never seem to get the one true great breakout they justly deserve. I like the sound, the feel, the flow of this album better than any album theyve released to date. I loved the songs that came from Urban Discipline such as Shades Of Grey, and Tears of Blood, but the album doesnt flow like this one. I liked the tracks Sellout, Wide Awake, and Domination feat. Members of Slipknot. These guys also are one those early accepters of the idea of hard rock and rap mixed song. I like this album and have to say if youre a follower of the band and have listened to previous albums or songs youll like this album as well.

Orange County Soundtrack

This album starts off with what is probably not only the best song on the album, but one of The Offsprings better hits in my opinion. Then you have the Foo Fighters song The One which probably has the best riff in the song played during the commercial, cause the rest of the song sucks. Then the first cd in this two cd set picks up again with hits fro Lit, Everythings Cool, and Quarashis Stick Em Up. Then we hit the 2 cd in this set which is or isnt a so called bonus cd which you might as well not make the effort to pick this thing up off the counter, because its not worth the wasted energy its that bad.
Id have to definitely say leave this album set, and save your cash its a real bummer!

Mushroomhead - XX

Heres another one of those head crushing right out of the box smash hit must have new band on the scene albums. How about the song Solitaire Unraveling huh? If youve heard the song you know what I mean. Just cant get enough of it. Amongst all the heaviness of this album pops a heavy ballad called The Wrist. I heard this song and about freaked out. This is my forte in music. I have always found an instant love for any hard and heavy rock ballad. This song drove tingles down my spine! The use of a synthesizer for creepy and airy sounds in the background is unlike and so tailed to the sound of this band , and is like nothing I ever heard before. Track 43 has a very freaky but super effective use of this and makes for an awesome sound. All in all if you havent figured out how much Im drooling on this album, I have to say go buy this, it stands on its on two feet which is rare for albums these days.
Known for its theatrical live show and the black masks that most of its members wear on stage, Mushroomhead is one of the more unique and adventurous alternative metal outfits that emerged in the 1990s. And the Cleveland band's music is as interesting as its image; Mushroomhead's forceful yet melodic alterna-metal incorporates elements of hip-hop, punk, and goth rock as well as industrial and techno. The members of Mushroomhead have been performing incognito since 1993, when drummer Skinny founded the band. At first, Mushroomhead was only meant to be a side project. Its members were playing in various local bands at the time, and they wore the blacks masks (which look like a cross between S&M/bondage masks and World War I gas masks) so that people wouldn't recognize them. The only Mushroomhead member who doesn't wear a black mask opts for Kiss-like clown makeup instead. After a few years, Mushroomhead became one of Cleveland's top local attractions -- and its members kept wearing the masks when they saw how intriguing people found them to be. Mushroomhead's self-titled debut album was released independently in 1995, followed by Superbuick in 1996 and M3 in 1999. The Midwesterners signed with Eclipse in 2000, and their next album, XX, came out the following year. In 2001, Mushroomhead's members included drummer/founder Skinny, lead vocalists J. Mann and Jeffrey Nothing, guitarists Bronson and Gravy, keyboardist Shmotz, bassist Pig Benis, and sample provider Stitch when they signed to Universal Records to rerelease XX.

Lit - Atomic

Lit-
Can I just start off by saying that if as much effort was put into the entire song that went into the funky ass guitar riffs that start off almost every song on this album it would have been something everyone would want to own. Besides the two very mediocre hits Everythings Cool, and Lipstick and Bruses this album is a very disappointing sleeper zzzzzzz. These guys seemed so promising and then kick out a piece of trash like this its so disappointing. Id say once again here keep your cash, and buy the singles if you really want them.
Modern rockers Lit formed in Orange County, CA in 1990 around frontman A. Jay Popoff, his guitarist brother Jeremy, bassist Kevin Baldes and drummer Allen Shellenberger. After years of sellout gigs at local venues like the noted Club 369 in Fullerton, in the spring of 1997 Lit issued their debut album Tripping the Light Fantastic; the record became a college radio hit and landed the group at RCA, which released A Place in the Sun two years later.

No Doubt - Rock Steady

Hey baby! Damn, who could not like a song sung by a beautiful blonde liek Gwen S. I fell in love instantly with the debut from this album Hey Baby. I have yet to figure out what the lyrics to this song mean but i love it anyhow. The track Hella Good blew me back into the 80's and reminded me of a female Prince. This album starts off with a bang fron Hey Baby then goes into some sort of weird 80's flashback Reaggae hip hop type sort of fiasco. I have been impressed with the heavier rock attitude of this band and thought I'd give them another try, and man was i dissapointed. Stay clear of this album.
Finger Eleven - Greyest Of The Blue Skies

Hard hard hard. Man what an impressive second coming for this band. This album has been around for awhile but i thought i just had to it the props it so well deserves. I can not beleive we haven't heard more from this so impressive band. This album starts off with the mind blowing tune First Time. The albums continues an upswing from tunes like Drag You Down and Sick Of It All. Then it mellows out in the middle somewhat (if you can call it that0 then crushes back at the end with tune Stay And Drown. If you have or havent heard of these guys go pick thi album up. They have their own fresh hard rocking sound and they will impress.
The members of Finger Eleven grew up in Burlington, Ontario and came together in high school as a funk-styled band named Rainbow Butt Monkey. Originally comprised of Scott Anderson (vocals), Sean Anderson (Bass), Rob Gommerman (drums) and James Black and Rick Jackett on guitars, they won a rock band search contest on local radio and used the prize money to record their first album, Letters From Chutney. Gommerman left the band soon after, making way for drummer Rich Beddoe. Now named Finger Eleven, the quintet released Tip on Mercury Records in Canada. It was re-released by the New York City based label Wind-Up Records in September 1998. The Greyest Of Blue Skies appeared two years later.

OK once in while even I'm wrong HAHA. I went out and relunctantly picked up this album feeling sure it was a waste of cash. I couldnt have been more wrong. I got the impression from picutes and the first hit Caught In The Sun that these guys would be a bunch of slow poppy pansies. May I state once again I was WRONG! I listened in disabeleif as I heard the first track Wall Of Shame and heard something hardish rock on the same lines as Creed. I was shocked! I listened and again came more with Someone Else To You. I was eqaully impressed with the last two trakcs from this album, although i will admit the center of this album had a few week songs. All in all I liked this album, and would have to say if your into the Creed and Tantric thing then you'll more than likely enjoy this album. Give it a try if your looking for something on the lighter side.

Dope - Life

Now back to the heaviest of the last four. These guys have a Marilyn Manson almost like feel to them without all the sex weirdness to them. The first hit from this album Now Or Never has an awesome beat and heaviness to it all at the same time. There's grunge guitar oozing out of every track on this album. One of my personal favorites from this album is a chant for those days when someone really pisses you off, DIe Mother f#cker Die. It rocks with the same heaviness with a catchy beat that makes this album work for this band. If you like a little beat with your slam then give these guys a try.
Dope is a New York-based quintet led by brothers Edsel Dope (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Simon Dope (keyboards). Children of divorced parents, the two grew up separately in Florida. Simon studied chemistry at the University of Florida, then received a scholarship to Polytechnic in Brooklyn. There, he was joined by his brother; the two claim to have financed their demos by selling drugs. Raiding other bands for lead guitarist Tripp Eisen, bass player Acey Slade, and drummer Preston Nash, they began a selective series of gigs in late 1997. In October 1998, they were signed to Flip Records, which made a production deal with Epic. Dope's debut album, Felons and Revolutionaries, was released in September 1999. The Dope brothers gutted their lineup after the ensuing tour, switching Slade to guitar and bringing in original bassist Sloane Jentry, guitarist Virus and drummer Sketchy Shay. In the fall of 2001, they released their second album
